Please note that all of the info I have on the pro day comes from Billy Liucci. I do not know why he decided to do it, but Von Miller decided to participate in all the testing again. The freak athlete ran an official time of 4.50 in the 40. That is .03 seconds faster than his official time from the NFL combine. Miller turned in a 4.19 time in the shuttle and 6.88 in the cone drill. I guess Miller just wanted to remind the scouts what a freak he is. Liucci talked to a NFL scout who said that Miller's 40, shuttle, and cone drill time were better than all but 4 or 5 of the DBs at the NFL Combine. The guy is a just a beast.

Jerrod Johnson threw at the pro day and by all accounts had his best performance to day. I still think JJ will be drafted and will become a good pro QB. Evidently Johnson really had his deep ball working today. JJ decided to let his results from the combine stand and did not run.
Lucas Patterson checked in ay 6'4 293. He ran a 5.10, did 32 reps of 225, and posted a 30.5" vertical. Matt Allen measured in a 6'2 285 ran a 5.18 and did 25 reps. Allen had a 28.5" vertical and 8'5" broad jump. Jorvorskie Lane returned to Aggieland to work out for the scouts. Lane weighed in a 277 and ran a 4.87 in the 40. He ran a 4.45 in the shuttle and posted a 32.5" vertical.
I have said repeatedly that I think Lane's inability to keep his weight under control cost him a lot of money in the NFL. He reminds me of Jerome Bettis more than any back I have seen. Hopefully Lane will get his shot at the NFL and will take advantage of it.
